Mason33
Terms of Use
Last updated 24 August 2026
Mason33 is a daily practice you keep on your own phone. These terms are short because the app asks very little of you and takes even less.
By installing or using Mason33 you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app — and if you stop accepting them later, uninstalling is enough.
What Mason33 is
Mason33 is a twelve-year self-directed practice in thirty-three degrees. Each day it names one thing to do, and each degree asks you to write down what it produced. It is a private discipline, kept by you and witnessed by nobody.
Mason33 is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Freemasonry or any Masonic body. The allegory it draws on — the seven liberal arts, the four cardinal virtues, the working tools read as emblem — is public domain and has been for centuries. The emblems and marks of existing organisations are not, and none are used here.
It is not advice
Mason33 is not medical, psychological, therapeutic, legal or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for any of them. Nothing it asks of you is supervised by a professional, and nothing you write in it is read by one.
Several degrees touch on the body, on appetite, on grief and on difficult conversations. Use your judgement, and treat every practice as an invitation rather than an instruction. You are responsible for deciding what is safe and appropriate for you, and for seeking qualified help where you need it. If a practice would be harmful to you, skip it — a missed day costs a day and never the path.
If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line. Mason33 has no way to know how you are, and no way to help.
What it costs
Nothing. Mason33 is free. There are no purchases, no subscriptions, no premium degrees, no advertising, and nothing is unlocked by paying. If that ever changes, it will not change for a practice already begun.
Your account, if you want one
An account is optional. The app works completely without one, and most members will run it that way. Signing in with Google or Apple exists so a record survives a lost phone, and it takes one opaque identifier and nothing else. You are asked for an alias, not a name.
You are responsible for keeping access to the Google or Apple account you sign in with. Because Mason33 collects no email address or phone number, we cannot recover a record for you if you lose access to that account. This is the cost of the anonymity, and it is deliberate.
Use the app as one person, for yourself. Do not attempt to access another member's record, disrupt the service, or use automated means to interfere with it.
What you write belongs to you
Your Reckonings and your Proofs are yours. You keep every right in them. We claim no licence over them, we do not publish them, we do not show them to other members, and we do not use them to train anything. They are stored so that they can be given back to you, and for no other purpose.
You can export everything you have written at any time, and destroy it at any time. See Deleting your account and data.
Availability, and what happens if it ends
The app asks for twelve years, which is longer than most software lasts. It is built for that honestly: the entire curriculum ships inside the app, and every practice, every degree and your whole record work with no network and no account. Nothing is fetched from a server as you go.
What could end is the optional cloud sync. If it does, the app keeps working on your device exactly as before, and you keep your record and your ability to export it. We will give reasonable notice through an app update before withdrawing sync where it is practical to do so.
We may modify or discontinue features, and we do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
No warranty
Mason33 is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mason33 and its developer are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, or for any loss of data, records or profits, arising out of your use of the app.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, you keep all statutory rights that the law of your country gives you, and nothing here affects them.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change materially, the date at the top changes and the revised terms are published here. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept them; if you do not, uninstall it and, if you wish, erase your record first.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you may also rely on the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live.
